The recall covers Happy GLOW pacifiers (4+), i.e. the Happy pacifiers of size 4+ months (4-36 months) which are luminous. The recall covers Happy GLOW pacifiers with all colors and motifs. The recall applies to all retailers, i.e. regardless of where you bought/received the Happy GLOW pacifiers. See list of the most common dealers further down.

How are Happy GLOW pacifiers (4+) dangerous?

The bud of the pacifier can crack if it receives a blow. Small parts can then be formed. Small children can choke if small parts end up in the child's throat.

How do I tell it's a Happy GLOW pacifier (4+)?

The Happy GLOW pacifiers (4+) are luminous in the dark and the shield is 60mm wide.

 Are Happy Mini pacifiers safe to use?

Yes, all Happy Mini and Happy Mini GLOW are safe to use. Its construction is different compared to that of the Happy GLOW pacifier (4+), as the Mini shield is larger in relation to the bud.

For all pacifiers, it is important to read and follow the instructions for use and check the pacifier before each use, discard the pacifier as soon as it shows signs of damage or wear. Change the pacifier after 1–2 months of use.

Is Happy (silicone and latex) 4+ without GLOW effect safe to use?

Yes, all Happy pacifiers without GLOW effect are safe to use. Its bud has a different material composition than Happy GLOW pacifiers (4+).

Newly manufactured Happy Glow pacifiers have a different material composition in the bud, which means that the bud passes the impact test according to EN1400:2013+A2:2018.

How does Esska know that Esska pacifiers are safe to use?

Esska pacifiers are tested against the European standard EN1400:2013+A2:2018 and are approved in all parts. Each individual pacifier is test-pulled in the bud when it is manufactured.

What pacifier can I give my child instead of Happy GLOW (4+)?

Happy 4+ silicone is also available without glow effect.

Chilla 4+ silicone has the same suction part as Happy 4+ GLOW, but a different shield. Available both with and without GLOW effect.

What kind of compensation can I get?
